Footasylum are supporting Home-Start with a charity 24 peaks in 24 hours challenge, this is going to be a challenge for our team but the efforts are for an amazing cause.

Some of the Lake Districts most challenging peaks
The clock is ticking and they have just 24 hours to scale 24 peaks
This itinerary should not be taken lightly as the terrain is extremely varied and involves some steep ascents and descents.
Over the course of 24 hours trekking time, They will ascend a total of 13,986 feet.
As hard as this sounds, this isn't anything on what some of the parents have to go through, which is where this amazing charity comes in to help. So support your colleagues by making a small donation.
Below are some of the details about what this amazing charity does:
If parents can't cope, children suffer, the impact of which can last a lifetime. There are so many reasons for this- poverty, poor mental health, isolation, domestic abuse and lack of family support networks. And this is where Home-Start steps in. Four Home-Start charities, work in communities right across Greater Manchester to offer volunteer-led emotional and practical support to families who are struggling.
Support is offered to families in their own homes, Home-Start volunteers (who have parenting experience themselves), walk alongside families, helping them to address their concerns in a confidential and non-judgmental way.
One mum supported by Home-Start said: "My Home-Start volunteer saved my life. I cannot be any clearer. She was the light at the end of a very dark tunnel, and the reason why I got up in the morning. Home-Start and my volunteer, are the reasons why my son has his mum today."
Every day hundreds of parents across Greater Manchester are helping to achieve brighter futures for their children thanks to the work of Home-Start and their army of volunteers.
