Please help my mom with medical expenses due to cancer.

Hi everybody,

My name is Krista. I am starting a fundraiser for my mom, Janet. She has a very aggressive form of oral cancer, and has undergone seven surgical procedures and 72 rounds of radiation in an effort to cure her illness.

Unfortunately, her surgeries have left her completely botched, and her cancer has returned with a vengeance. Her doctors don’t know what else to do, and so we are seeking help from whoever and wherever we can now. I have even emailed Dr. Phil and Oprah. We are calling different institutions in different areas. Some of them are out of state and we don’t even know how we would get her there, but nothing will stop us from trying.

I currently live in Pennsylvania while she lives in Missouri with her fiancé, Jeff. He is her sole caretaker. He dresses her wounds, make sure she gets food into her feeding tube, braids her hair, and everything else. He does all of this alone the majority of the time. My aunt comes to help whenever she can (and we are so grateful to her), and there is a home health aide that comes three times a week for about 15 minutes. Other than that he is on his own- and she needs extensive care. Her wound dressing alone needs changed three times a day- as her entire neck is exposed tissue due to skin graft failures. He has had to call off a lot to be with my mom and get her back and forth to countless appointments. They are behind on all of their bills and money would be a huge blessing for them right now and also in the future as we look for further care options for my mom.

Any little bit is greatly appreciated. Just sharing this is even greatly appreciated. We don’t know where else to turn or what else to do. Maybe this will reach the right person and we can see a real life miracle. If there’s anyone in this world that deserves it, it’s her.
