Sephie’s Surgery
Donation protected
After a long week of getting treated for pancreatitis, Sephie was still throwing up several times, not keeping anything down even after having anti-nausea medicine. I rushed her to the emergency vet. She then had to get more IVs of fluids and antibiotics, X-rays, and after two rounds of that, and she was still having issues, she got an ultrasound where they found a foreign object in her stomach and needed surgery.
By this time, she had already been to the vet 5 times and was hospitalized overnight. The surgery had her stay another night in the emergency vet where she stayed until the morning of 4/26. She is home now, and the surgery went as well as it could have gone.
The cost for covering the pancreatitis was just over $2100, and then after that, the hospital visit for several nights with the fluids, 2 rounds of X-rays, ultrasound, medicine, and surgery, that ended up being another $6200 bringing the total to $8300. I have had some of my close family donate what they can and a very grateful for that, but I’m struggling to pay what is remaining while I am still working on paying off her previous vet visits this year and my own hospitalization from last year and had to put this on a family’s credit card and my own CareCredit Card.
Anything helps at all, and I would really appreciate anything you can give or share.
Persephone (Sephie) is resting as best as she can and loves everyone she’s met. She’s truly the light of my life and I would do anything for her, I’m just asking for a bit of help.
Also, my Venmo is Naomi-Knowles-2 if you would prefer to do that.
