There's Nothing Left

I live in Anchorage, Alaska and spent the month of August in Santa Rosa, California where my sister, Katherine Gaynor, underwent surgery to have her spleen removed. She has a rare blood cancer disorder and was slowly recovering from her surgery at home in the Coffey Lane area of Santa Rosa. After I returned home at the end of August, her husband Larry and daughter Ramona were taking care of her. Early Monday morning on October 9, 2017 Ramona woke up to the smell of smoke. It didn't take long to realize their neighborhood was on fire. They bundled themselves, their parrot and 2 chickens into their car while a house down the street burned. They didn't have time to pack any valuables and they lost everything, including Larry's computers and equipment he used as a self-employed land surveyor. They are currently staying with Larry's 92 year-old-mother in a 2 bedroom condo, but hope to move into a place of their own sometime soon while they evaulate whether they want to rebuild or not. All money donated will be used to secure a rental house or replace furniture, clothes and Larry's work computer.
