This GoFundMe has been launched with Reagan's express permission and in an account that she controls, and for her family's exclusive benefit.

We are grieving the unexpected loss of Dave Birt, who passed away on the evening of Saturday, October 12th, from a heart attack while on a mountain bike ride. He was the devoted husband to Reagan, loving father to Anton (adult), Brecken (10th grade), Rowan (7th grade), and Tatum (2nd grade), and cherished colleague and friend to many in their school, church, and neighborhood. This GoFundMe has been created for friends of this sweet family and members of their supportive communities in Austin and beyond to help them financially navigate this time.

How Funds Will Be Used

These funds will be used to cover or contribute to any or all of the following, as Reagan deems wise:

Funeral expenses
Estate administration
Payment of regular bills
Income replacement for a period of time
Counseling

We've kept the use of funds intentionally broad in order to begin supporting them as quickly as possible and to give Reagan maximum flexibility. The road ahead is a long one and we hope this campaign will ease the financial burden along the way.
