Raising money for cancer charity

Hello,

my name is Jake shaylor and I am rasing money for cancer awareness. Which will take place at foundry gym in Kidderminster. What I will be doing is attempting to pull a tanker truck (16 ton). The day will be the 2nd of November. The reason is why I’m pulling a truck is because obviously I have close family members who's going through this and there’s a little boy called jasper which touch my heart and inspired me to do this.

Jasper was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma at the end of July 2022 and due to the cancer growing in his left sinus pocket he also lost sight from in both his eyes.

He started the first of 9 cycles of very intensive chemotherapy the day after his 4th birthday and halfway through he had to have 6 weeks of proton beam radiotherapy at the Christie hospital in Manchester. He then had 18 months of maintenance chemotherapy to reduce any chance of the cancer returning.

Through all of the hospital visits and procedures Jasper has had to have and will continue to have, he’s shown a lot of strength and resilience all while learning to navigate his way through life without being able to see.

Jasper is now in school full time (after having to miss his first school year) and is thriving. He’s a very confident, happy and cheeky little boy who is getting stronger every day.
