Evacuate my family from Gaza to safety

My name is Mariam Radi, and I write to you with a heavy heart from Gaza , By now, many of you may be aware of the dire and heartbreaking situation unfolding in Gaza. It pains me deeply to share that me and many of my beloved family members are currently trapped in Gaza amidst relentless bombings, desperately seeking refuge and safety.

A family consisting of five people, the father, the mother, and three children, the eldest of whom was six years old. He had joined the first grade of primary school one month before the war began, and the second had also joined kindergarten one month before the war began. They were not able to complete their studies, which had not yet begun, and the last of them was born twenty days before the war began. .

The father is a lawyer and legal consultant, and the mother is a journalist

The father's law firm was completely destroyed,

and the mother was threatened not to work in journalism as journalists are being targeted, as happened with Al Jazeera correspondent Wael Al-Dahdouh.

Our house was completely destroyed, and we were left with no way to live in the Gaza Strip. Destruction and killing occur on a daily basis.

Since that day, we have been drowning in sadness and amazement

No human being can carry all that in his chest alone, but my children did!!

After many years of happiness, love, and a beautiful home filled with their laughter and games, all of this dissipated in an instant.

We left our house under the sound of shells and bullets, looking around every corner as if we were saying goodbye to him. My children were afraid to carry their toys for fear that they would be scratched. Their innocent minds did not imagine that something else was waiting for them.

It terrifies me to think about what I might do for them!!

I always prayed that they would not get a scratch, so that they would not know the meaning of grief and loss

Yes, they cried for their home, their toys, and their friends. They cried for their fear and their eagerness to enter their first year of school, and their joy at having everything they needed. They cried for the beautiful days that were before all of this happened.

But the idea of ​​traveling and escaping from all this fear, death, destruction, and lack of life only alleviated the burden that remained in my heart. It relieved my fear for my children, their dreams, and their outlook on life, with the hope that I would return to them what they had lost.

We tried to travel outside Gaza, but the travel costs are very high. The travel fee for the only company responsible for travel is $5,000 per person! Unlike other expensive travel expenses.

Help us so that we can travel outside Gaza, preserve our lives and the lives of our children, and try to establish a life away from killing and destruction
