Hi, My Name is Norm Pierce and I'm fundraising for my dear friend, Dan Griffith. Mike Bartlett, Bob Madda and I have decided it was time to reach out for financial support for Dan's beloved wife of 50 years, Julie Griffith. Dementia robs an individual of dignity and eats away at one's assets. Dan's finances are not enough to combat his illness nor are they sufficient to provide for him and Julie. Dan now requires full-time care in a medical facility and Julie can no longer reside with him.

In Dan's case, one of his ailments has tightened the grip of his health and future. The majority of Dan's adult life was spent on coaching, teaching and caring for others less fortunate. He dedicated himself working for the poor and sacrificed making a future for himself. Now Dan is the one who needs help. Here is an opportunity to help someone we know and to give aid to someone who spent most of his adult life, gave to others without compensation or notoriety. Now life has dealt Dan Griffith a hand he cannot win without support of others. Now Dan has had to deal with pain and anguish that comes with being a senior. The "Golden Years" will sometimes have an exact a price on all of us.

So many times, in our lives we are called to go above the norm and give of ourselves for others. The response is always gratifying but sometimes lacks identity. Most times our gifts go to people we don't know or how desperate their needs are. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice to save or aid others they do not know. It's in our Christian heritage to give of ourselves for others

This is the time when all of us can help Dan and show him the respect and love he deserves. The only way to move a mountain is one wheelbarrow at a time. Anything you could give to Dan would be greatly appreciated and well spent to ease his pain and anguish.
