Clean Water for Gaza - Water purification project

Hi! Me and a group of friends are starting this fundraiser for our friend Salama (Simo), who is currently in northern Gaza and is trying to launch a project that will provide clean drinking water to families in the area for free!

Simo and his family, friends, and fellow Palestinians have been under siege for months and are suffering from a lack of access to food and clean water. They are forced to drink contaminated water, and any food that is available is extremely expensive so every little bit helps and we're hoping that this project will alleviate a lot of suffering.

As gofundme requires a base in the US, UK or EU, the fundraiser had to be started by one of us, but 100% of funds raised will be going directly to Simo and the equipment needed to complete the desalination devices! (My name is Elena, and I'm based in the UK. We are talking to Simo as often as possible, and this is his project first and foremost!)

This is a message directly from Simo:

"I live in the northern part of Gaza, and we are suffering here from extremely difficult conditions and a shortage of water and resources, to the point where our lives are barely livable due to the suffering we face. We consume contaminated and undrinkable water, which only adds to our daily struggles. Therefore, I have decided to consider launching a project to desalinate water, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of families in the area.

My idea revolves around obtaining equipment and devices for water desalination and purification, in addition to tanks for storing clean water. We need two or three tanks of 1000 liters each, electricity, and other basic necessities to operate the devices. This project will have a significant and positive impact on the lives of many, as we will be able to convert unfit water into clean and safe drinking water.

This filter works continuously throughout the day to produce 1000 liters of clean and pure drinking water within 24 hours. More than 60 families will benefit from this project daily and receive water for free, with each family getting 20 liters of clean drinking water. I will work diligently every day to help changing families benefit from this water to reach a larger world.

I am happy to participate in this humanitarian work for the people and the poor here. The project will be completed with your support and help, standing by our side and doing what you can for the poor and needy here in northern Gaza.
