Help Anwar in Gaza finish her degree and rebuild her life!

Update: Last week Anwar learned from video footage put out by Israeli soldiers that her home has been completely demolished.

Her texts from that discovery are heartbreaking:

"We were staying strong because we believed we would be able to return to our home and lives someday."

"We have been living in tents for a year now and we don't know what else to do."

Help a nurse in Gaza finish her education and find safety!

Nurse Anwar Yahya is a Palestinian from Gaza. She graduated with a nursing degree from Al Aqsa University with a final grade of 91.4%.

Her first job was at Al-Wafaa Hospital working in rehabilitation and geriatric care. The hospital was destroyed by airstrikes during the crisis and she was unable to work there. Her dream of becoming a distinct staff nurse was in ruins, as were her plans to pursue a Master's degree in medical/surgical nursing.

Anwar has been working at a hospital in the middle area of the Gaza Strip, without pay, for much of the crisis.

Her family fled their home months ago and have not returned. They are physically separated, and because of the risks that come with movement around Gaza, they have not been able to reunite. It is especially dangerous now as the military targets anything that moves.

Hospitals are no longer safe havens, and Anwar worries for her patients as well her own safety.

In Anwar's words: "We have been displaced 4 times already. Today I found out from neighbors that our house was damaged. We will never live there again. We have to start over. May God compensate us for what we have lost."
