For years now , Cheryl has been faced with many deeply shifting elements within her body from what was once an unidentifiable cause.

Last spring, the results from a blood work and other lab results with her primary care physician and endocrinologist forced her to get an MRI, the results of which were shocking but also relieving.

Doctors confirmed that her health complications and disruptions in her body’s endocrine, hormonal, and metabolic systems were due to several tumors present in her brain. Thankfully, these are currently non-cancerous, benign tumors, but finally the road to solutions began here.

She is now scheduled for a non-invasive brain surgery on March 3 to remove the tumors and hopefully balance her body and hormones once again. The surgery requires the removal of a thin bone in the sella region of her brain to access the pituitary gland, where the tumors currently reside.

This surgery will not only require some overnight stays in the hospital, but Cheryl will face a long road of recovery ahead. She will endure a full month of strict inactivity as she begins to heal and this inactivity will keep her from her work. As an artist and a physical healer, massage/bodywork as her full time job.

Cheryl’s inability to be on her feet and work will greatly impact her life, both emotionally and financially. If you have had the pleasure of knowing Cheryl, it’s easy to see she has a powerful healing light within her that she shares with others constantly through her massage work and sound therapy sessions. Now, however, Cheryl needs to focus on healing herself and she needs our support.

She has poured herself into her craft and into others in the northern Nevada community, and now it is time to support her. Cheryl will need funds to cover not only her bills for rent, groceries, and medicine , but also will need bills to cover medical costs while she is on strict bed rest.
