Cooey's medical bills
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Cooey and I am 16 years old. My mom and dad took me in a little over a year ago. I started out very shy, and it took me almost the entire year, but now I am very comfortable here and even like to greet them at the front door when they come home from work. I have also grown fond of the other animals they have and even consider them friends.
A few months ago, I was diagnosed with renal failure, and while my kidneys are functioning better with medication, I continue to lose weight (most recently I lost 1.5 lbs in about two months, which is a lot for my now less than 10lb frame). So my mom and vet decided it was a good idea to do an ultrasound to rule out any other causes to my issues.
The ultrasound showed that I have a mass on my spleen and thickened intestinal lining. Both of which are scary and could mean I have a rough road ahead of me.
My parents want to make sure I am as comfortable and happy as I can be, and want to make sure I have the best shot I can get. We are hoping you might be willing to contribute to my vet bills, as they are already racking up and don't show any signs of slowing down.
We have an appointment with a specialist on 2/18/16 to discuss our options and might need to update our goal then. But until then, any help to cover costs that have already occurred and that will occur at the specialist is greatly appreciated!!! Any amount helps and if you can't contribute please consider sharing!!!
