Hi, my name is Ann. I would like to fundraise for my sister Christina. Not many of my friends know this but in 2018, she was diagnosed with leukemia. Although it has been a tough battle, my little sister is very strong and with that comes with her being very stern about not wanting sympathy. I have seen the many times of her being broken down and exhausted and as a sister, all I can do is to be there for her. Thankfully after all the treatments, she’s been in remission since September 2018, but unfortunately the aftermath of cancer comes with after effects. These after effects included her having two right hip surgeries (in under 1 year), pneumonia, having cataracts, and more. Although I do what I can to help with expenses, I am only one person and am going through my own expenses as well, paying through my masters program. Coming up my sister will be getting surgery to get her cataracts removed which have developed due her multiple rounds of chemotherapy in 2018. I am setting a goal for $10,000 because I have seen the pain that my family has endured within these 3 years of my baby sister going through this disease and it has caused a major stress on all of us.
