Help my brother and I from becoming homeless

Please help save us by donating! Hello, my name is Darren, I am 55 years old . My brother and I will become homeless very soon If we don't receive financial aid, fast. We are now 16 months late on paying our home mortgage loan bills. The mortgage company sent us messages saying if we don't pay $16,120. (USD) by February 1, 2025, we will then be at great risk of the mortgage company "Foreclosing" on our home. If that full amount is not paid soon, the home loan mortgage company will take our home and force us to leave it forever. We will become homeless.

Last year my brother suddenly lost his job and became unemployed in May 2023 due to his employer very suddenly retiring and closing down his business. My brother's employer gave no prior warning that was going to happen. After that happened my brother luckily was able to receive some financial aid from the state of Illinois by receiving Illinois State Unemployment payments for a few months, but that state aid help only lasted four months. Then In early December 2023 my brother was hired at a new place of employment. He now has a job, but right now he can't make enough money, fast enough, to to pay all the late over due bills. We just need your help to catch up!

I am currently unemployed for medical health reasons, and I am currently using Illinois state Medicaid for myself, for doctor medical services, medications, and for the (EBT) SNAP food program. I was told by the state of Illinois that I am not eligible for the Medicaid Cash program. My health is not good. I am a Type 2 Diabetic and my doctor told me the Type 2 Diabetes is damaging my kidneys, heart, and my vision. My doctor prescribed medications to help aid my kidneys, and for my other medical health problems. I also suffer from having two hernias, high blood pressure, bad lungs, depression, and some memory loss. The two hernias and bad lungs makes it hard for me to work. Also, I feel physically weak most of the time, and sometimes feel slightly dizzy. My doctor currently has me using, "Metformin", "Atorvastatin", "Lisinopril", and for my lungs I use a "Albuterol Sulfate" inhaler.

Also, I am not an illegal drug user. I am not a drug addict. Also, I very rarely drink alcohol. I don't like the effects of alcohol anymore, plus my health is so bad now that I'm actually afraid to drink alcohol. I fear I might have a heart attack!

My brother is 62 years old and is also a Type 2 Diabetic. My brother has a heart defect and he has a "ICD" implant for his heart. Sometimes his heart stops beating and the device shocks his heart to make it beat again. The battery for that device needs to be surgically replaced VERY SOON! An "ICD" is a small battery-powered device placed in the chest. It detects and stops irregular heartbeats, also called arrhythmias. An ICD continuously checks the heartbeat. It delivers electric shocks, when needed, to restore a regular heart rhythm. It also helps when there is a sudden loss of all heart activity, a condition called cardiac arrest. He needs a new battery for that heart device very soon, and he has not had any heart medications or diabetic medications for at least six months. I'm am very worried about his health now! He has not received health insurance from his new job yet. I hope he receives health insurance soon!

I'm very embarrassed to ask for help, but now I'm very scared and desperate, and I don't know what else I can do to prevent us from becoming homeless. With our health problems I'm now so terribly afraid of becoming homeless! I fear we will not survive for long outside on the streets of Chicago, or elsewhere! My brother has a car but it's engine is not operating well, and his car might fail soon, and his car also has a cracked suspension. My brother is worried about driving his car far distances, or on fast moving highways. His car is the only car we have. I don't own a car.

Please help us! We desperately need your help to catch up on paying our late overdue bills before it's too late for us! We don't want to end up homeless!
