moms headstone S^2C

Hey everyone,

As many of you may know, my mom passed away a few years ago. Due to my age and circumstances at the time, I was not able to get her a headstone. As the years passed by I kept telling myself that I would be able to get her one after I landed a full time job but this has not been the case. This year is my first year of working and I have only been able to put aside a small amount of money for the cemetery and headstone as I have started to pay off my student loans as well. I was unaware that the cemetery where my mom is requires a certain size headstone (a larger one-which means more expensive) and additional fees that come along with digging the ground up to put the headstone in. Initially, I was going to get her a flat headstone for a few hundred dollars until I could save up the money to buy her the larger headstone but the cemetery does not allow small sizes or flat headstones. I have been struggling with the fact that she still does not have a headstone and it eats away at me daily. My mom was an amazing woman who loved all of my friends and took care of everyone; she was my best friend.


In honor of her birthday today, I decided to give this a try and see if I could raise any money to put towards the making of her headstone and the fees.
