Let’s Hug America

Hug America is a non-profit organization that strives to make a positive impact in its community through organizing events where people come together to connect and interact in real life.

We are Starting out in Brooklyn, NY in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge. The main event of the year is planned for mid-August of this year 2023. Hug OwlsHead Park will involve about 1,000 people gathering around the perimeter of a local park forming an unbroken chain of people holding hands. Through this event, expected to last a couple of hours, after a post quarantine period of isolation we hope to reconnect some neighbors and re-establish a stronger sense of community. All donations collected will be redistributed to local charities that directly interact with supporting the community through delivering meals and supporting the needy. A portion of the donations will also be used to provide any necessary equipment for the events.
