Please help us stay afloat

UPDATE! Hi everyone, first let me start by saying how incredibly thankful we are for every single donation. It saved us from having to move and from falling behind in bills so I cannot thank each and every one of you enough. Next, following up from his last lymph node biopsy the doctors finally came up with a diagnosis. He has an extremely rare disease called idiopathic multicentric Castleman Disease. We are feeling so relieved to finally have a diagnosis but this particular diagnosis means he has a long road ahead of him. There is only one FDA approved medication for his specific type of Castleman Disease. It's an immunotherapy drug, similar to chemotherapy but without some of the side effects. He had his first treatment in the hospital and it went well, he will need a treatment every 21 days until he is in remission. There are still a lot of questions being that this is so rare but we have faith that he will get better. His kidneys are no longer in failure and are doing well which we are so happy about! The goal is to keep taking things day by day until he is fully back to his healthy self which we have full faith will happen. Again we cannot thank everyone enough for all the out pour of love we received from our fellow friends, and family. We are beyond grateful

Side note: If anyone who hasn't donated wants to donate..it will be going towards Jason VERY high medical bills we are going to be facing. Anyone who has been in the hospital knows that hospital stays cost A LOT of money especially when you have been there for months. We have been receiving a lot of messages asking to extend the amount we are asking for to take off some of the medical bills that we are facing. Once again thank you everyone that has helped us through this process.

Hi, my name is Brooke. My husband Jason is currently in the hospital fighting for his life. He was admitted last month and discharged after what they thought was an infection. Now one month later he is back at the hospital and things have taken a bad turn. He is in kidney failure. His lymph nodes are also swelling. The doctors are taking biopsies of his kidneys, and his lymph nodes to see if this is cancer related. Unfortunately, things are getting worse very quickly. We don't yet have an accurate diagnosis, so treatment cannot begin.

Jason is the main provider in our home. He is a chef for a school for children with special needs. He is loved by so many people. He always has done his best to take care of everyone and everything especially our soon to be two-year-old son, Malakai. With no money coming in from my husband's job, we do not have the funds to support our family at the moment. Our rent is $1895. We also have the expenses of Jason's car payment, his car insurance, and his health insurance (which is vitally important right now), we also have our utilities of course.

Our family and friends are helping us with food and things for the baby but our main concern is staying afloat financially while Jason is in the hospital. The money we receive will pay rent and other essential bills plus will go towards his extremely high medical bills. We never thought we would have to ask for help to keep ourselves financially stable, but life has thrown a very large hurdle in our way. Please, please, keep Jason in your prayers. I want my husband and the father of our son back home...healthy. ANY contribution is appreciated.

Edit: We will also be contacting charity care through the hospital and start to try and make small payments towards his extremely high medical bills. Any extra money will be used to go towards the medical bills when he gets out. As of 7/6/23 we are still waiting for the biopsy of his lymph node to come back to determine if its cancer. Thank you all for the overwheling support we have received so far ..every little bit is easing our financial stress so we can focus on getting Jason better.
