Hi,
My name is Saja Abusulttan, and I'm a Palestinian currently residing in the Netherlands. Having spent most of my life in the Gaza Strip, I've endured the horrors of three wars and countless bombings. Today, I'm reaching out to you with an urgent plea to help me save my family. Over the past six months, I've watched in horror as the Gaza Strip has become a scene of genocide, a place where my entire family resides. They've been forcibly displaced from Gaza City amidst relentless bombardments, leaving them homeless and in constant peril.
The situation is dire. Both of my parents suffer from health conditions requiring urgent medical attention, yet access to proper care is severely limited due to the destruction of hospitals and shortages of essential medicines. My youngest brother, afflicted with cerebral palsy, is especially vulnerable, unable to see, walk, or even move independently. His life has been endangered by severe seizures, with access to emergency care hindered by the chaos of genocide.
My sisters, full of promise and ambition, have had their dreams disrupted by the terror surrounding them. Meanwhile, my brother and his family had barely begun to dream about nurturing our newborn niece, Sham, born just one day before the onslaught of the genocide in Gaza. For Sham, the world has been nothing but a series of explosions, fear, and deprivation. The innocence of my nieces, Sham and Fofa, is overshadowed by the constant drone of warplanes and the destruction of their surroundings.
I live each day in a state of perpetual nightmare, haunted by the fear of losing my family in the ongoing genocide. Already, I've mourned the loss of too many loved ones to this ongoing tragedy.
But there is hope, and it lies in your generosity. Your support can help me bring my family to safety, away from the horrors of genocide. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. Please, stand with me in this critical moment. Help me save my family.
