MATES Mental health Awareness Through Educational Speaking Community Interest Company-is a non profit group run by volunteers who volunteer their own time and costs to ensure we provide an online community for:

-Raising mental health awareness

-Support for those struggling with their own mental health issues or     those of loved ones

-Educating about mental health issues online:

-Holding regular and one off events to provide support and activities for our community

-Providing a 24/7 online community 

-Signposting to professional mental health organisations 

We rely on using venues that are free/public or donated to us, however there are some things that currently come from our own pockets:

-Advertising 
-Promotional items like banners, business cards, flyers, T-shirts,kits
-Venue hire, such as for one off events such as our film screenings and --`Lets Talk` events
-Printing costs for sponsoring and partnering with teams
-Covering the costs of non MATES organised events that have a cost but we want to provide for free or a reduced rate to members of our community.
-Helping with travel costs for coaches etc when we have special events such as CALMS `The Lost Hours Walk` to help our community that have lost loved ones to suicide be able to take part as simply and stress free as possible.


These are essential to spread the awareness of our community and to make us stand out and have more people benefit from joining our community.

We have survived for nearly two years with absolutely no investment and covering any costs from our own pockets however we are growing and we need to ensure that we are able to sustain the level of service and for this we will need some help.


So far we have held over:

-80 `Walk and Talk with your MATES`



-70 `Chat with your MATES` drop in events



-Facilitated a subsidised bus to the Calm `Lost Hours event`


-Held a free showing of the film Evelyn for World Suicide Prevention     Day
