4th Annual "Climb for the Kids"
PLEASE HELP SUPPORT OUR 4TH ANNUAL CLIMB FOR THE KIDS!
You can help put a smile on the face of a child fighting cancer!
Colorado, the mountains and raising money for children and teens fighting cancer.
What could be better?
WE ARE BACK FOR THE 4TH ANNUAL CLIMB FOR THE KIDS!
On Saturday, July 23, my climbing buddy Steve Jackson and I, along with a few other generous mountaineers, are going to reach for the Summit of Missouri Mountain, a stunning scenic 14er in Colorado (14,074 feet) to raise money for children and teens fighting cancer!
Our previous ‘Climb for the Kids’ fundraisers have raised nearly $12,000 to benefit brave young cancer patients nationwide. Thanks to that amazing support from our generous donors, this year we are determined to continue the momentum with our climb of the Summit of Missouri Mountain.
Your support will help buy a lot of toys for these kids to help them smile during this difficult time in their lives.
100% of the proceeds will provide toys, gifts and gift cards to children and teens fighting cancer all across the nation by means of the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. Any amount that you can contribute will be welcome and will go a long way to help Put a Smile on the Face of a Child Fighting Cancer!
When I was seven years old I was diagnosed with childhood leukemia. I didn’t know what cancer was but I certainly knew I was scared. One morning when I was supposed to go to the hospital for treatment, I hid from my mom and exclaimed, “I’m not going anymore!” She could see how confused and frightened I was. So she devised a plan. The next time I was scheduled for treatment my mom came into my room with a box covered in gift wrap and said, “Martin, from now on, every time you are a brave little boy and go through this treatment, I will reward you with a new toy.” Thus the Treasure Chest Foundation was born.
The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation now serves more than 15,700 children and teens in 65 Children’s Cancer Treatment Centers across the nation every single month, including the location closest to Summit of Missouri Mountain, the Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Colorado! With your support, we can ensure that these brave kids can continue to receive their favorite toys for their courage!
