Raising Funds to Cover DACA fees for Arkansans
Donation protected
This will be our 4th year raising funds for the DACAmented Community here in Arkansas. With your help we’ve been able to raise thousands of dollars the past few years and have helped paid over 50 full DACA renewals. Undocumented individual must pay $495 each to get a new DACA work permit to be able to live here legally in the United States. We want to help ease the burden on many people this holiday season. This fundraiser is in honor of Arkansas Artist/Activist Carmen Castorena who was employed at Crystal Bridges and had just began her journey as an immigrant rights organizer when she passed away in a tragic motor vehicle accident in 2018 at the young age of 25. Carmen was DACAmented and was full of dreams and inspiration. So I decided that we would officially name this fundraiser by her name after receiving the blessing from her family to do so. I ask that you donate anything you can. It will go a long way. I've personally seen how having a DACA permit can change someone's life in an instant and give people the ability to get a license, a job, a house and so much more. Please share with your friends and family. Scholarships will be mailed out to recipients around Christmas time this year. If you want to apply for a scholarship, you can email me at [email redacted]Those with higher needs will be priority.
