4th Annual Shirts for Students
Tax deductible
I am Grant Cooper, a rising Senior at Jesuit Dallas and an Eagle Scout in Troop 43. In the summer of 2020, I completed my Eagle Project, Shirts for Students, in which I provided each student at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic School in Dallas, Texas, with a new uniform shirt. I also stocked their uniform supply closet with additional uniforms for families in the greatest financial need. OLPH is located near Love Field. OLPH serves an economically disadvantaged population, with almost 90% of its students participating in the National School Lunch Program (NLSP). Unfortunately, many students cannot afford new uniforms, so they often wear hand-me-downs in poor condition. Because of the impact Shirts for Students had, I've done it every year since. For my 4th Annual Shirts for Students, I am raising the bar and attempting to raise enough funds to purchase a uniform shirt for every student, buy new PE/Sports equipment for the gym, and raise funds to aid in the construction of an outdoor learning space/commons for the 8th graders.
I anticipate the cost per school uniform shirt to be $20, totalling to about $4,000. The new gym equipment is expected to cost about $3,500 while the outdoor common space is projected to be another $5,000. Any contribution you make would be greatly appreciated. The donated funds will go directly to OLPH; anything over my goal will remain with OLPH for future uniform needs.
Thanks,
Grant Cooper
