Helping Hampers
Donation protected
M.E LaZerte High School's Interact club supported by the Rotary Club of North-East Edmonton is committed to helping our students and family through the holiday season. In years past our school has participated in the Helping Hampers program within the city. This year the program is not running due to COVID, but our staff, students, and Interact club are determined to raise funds in order to make Hampers a reality despite the difficult limitations of COVID.
Please consider donating this year. Your donation will go towards providing families with hamper boxes filled with the basic pantry and household staples, gifts for children in the family, and grocery gift cards. In order to encourage families to purchase fresh items, we also include a grocery gift-card in each hamper. This also gives our families the autonomy to buy food for their family’s preferences and dietary needs.
These hampers will give families the support needed to enjoy the holidays with their family and worry a little less
As part of our hampers project this year, we are also aiming to provide some essentials to our students year round, these are gifts that keep on giving. We would like to give you the opportunity to support our students in need by purchasing them bus passes and lunch, expenses that many cannot afford and greatly impacts their success in school.
Your donations provide the following:
$60 is transportation for a month
$140 lunch for a month
$360 is a bus pass for the rest of the year
Thank you so much for your generosity during this difficult time. It is actions like this that bring our school community together and show how strong our Voyageur family really is.
