Bill and Cherie Clark were exceptional supporters of the Party, staying engaged for decades and working hard even after their candidate, Bernie Sanders, was not nominated. They could always see the forest for the trees and pitched in with humor and intelligence.
Active Democrats remember with love and admiration Cherie and Bill Clark. The mother-son dynamic duo were Democratic workhorses in Nebraska from 2007 until losing their Omaha home and moving to rural Minnesota in early 2019.
Along the way, they helped at virtually every State and Douglas County Democratic event for over a decade. They were also State and County Party Central Committee members. Cherie was a gifted writer and a salt of the earth defender of decency with a grand sense of humor. Bill a tireless phone canvasser and advisor. Generous and entertaining, they never gave up working for peace and justice.
Cherie died suddenly in August 2021. Bill, who is the victim of a workplace accident, is helping his totally disabled brother at their Minnesota home while searching for a desk job.
Finances are very tight. Cherie’s small estate is being wrapped up. Bill’s brother receives a small social security disability payment monthly. Selling a rural Minnesota house during the winter is unrewarding. Bill is job hunting and he and his brother need help to make it into Spring.
They were there for us, let’s be there for them. In Cherie’s memory and for Bill and his brother’s future, please donate to this Go Fund Me to help them through this challenge.
