The Moore Family

Dear friends and family,

We are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our parents Joan & Otis Moore. If you know our parents you know they have always been giving people and always willing to help others even when they didn't have much themselves. We are hoping we can all come together and give back to them. Our mother Joan has struggled with various health issues for many years. But in August of 2022 she was diagnosed with an infection in her leg called pseudomonas. She has had multiple surgeries and has been on IV antibiotics since August but unfortunately she still has the aggressive infection. The doctors had given her 2 options...be on antibiotics for the rest of her life or amputation. After lots of time and prayer Mom and Dad, along with the surgeon, have decided that amputation is the best option for her. Her hope is to get rid of the infection completely with amputation and then be able to get a prosthetic to give her the chance to walk again. Our parents have very limited income since our Dad retired due to his own health issues. Our hope with this fundraiser is to help them with various costs that her insurance may not cover like deductibles, co-pays, hospital stays, gas, food, therapies, prosthetic and medical equipment. We greatly appreciate anyone who is willing to give.
