Help for Christine and her family

A routine work task turned into an emergency when a step down from a platform resulted in a fractured ankle.  Christine immediately reported the incident to management, who sent her to the medical center on the property.  There she was informed she would need a boot to stabilize the ankle and foot, but they did not have one available,  and she was instructed to return to work. She did, and reported to work the following day, despite severe pain and bruising, of her entire foot and ankle. Management informed her that they still did not have the support device for her, but assured her it would be there when she came to work that evening, and so she returned home.

Hours later, in her living room,  Christine suffered a debilitating stroke, resulting from a blood clot that traveled from her injured foot to her brain.

Her husband Nate, found her, and she was rushed to the hospital, unresponsive. Once there the doctors performed 3 surgeries on her brain.

At 42, Christine is now having to relearn basic life skills, like walking and talking. Her inability to work has left her family in critical financial straits. Her husband, Nate, works long hours to keep their family above water, but the cost of living for a family of 5 (including 3 dogs that may need to be rehome due to the change in living circumstances) is extremely difficult on one income. Their children, Jayden, age 16, Javielle, age 13, and Jada, age 11, are dealing with the situation as best they can, but struggle to see mother in the state she is in, and their father worried about the future. 

This fundraiser is to help this family with their immediate financial needs, so that they can focus on Christine's healing.  They are a loving family, in a bad situation,  through no fault of their own, and it could happen to any one of us.
