Hurricane Laura Relief Fund
Tax deductible
My name is Richard Haydel and I am a student at Louisiana State University and a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Over the past day or so, we have witnessed an unprecedented natural disaster in Hurricane Laura, a Category 4 hurricane that made landfall in the western parishes of Louisiana and badly damaged areas like Lake Charles and Cameron. As a fraternity that includes members from these areas - and a great amount of love and respect for their cities they're from - it is disheartening to see the extent of the damage from this catastrophe and we feel like it would be a great gesture to "pay it forward" to the people of this area and provide funds to help relief efforts from Hurricane Laura's aftermath. In times of disaster, we are all one people in our united effort to help: that's why we call upon everyone to help us in our efforts to bring relief, morale and that Louisianian trait of "rebirth" to our cities and areas that are struggling to comprehend the weight of what has just occurred to them. Our hearts go out to anyone affected by this devastating hurricane and we hope to make any impact, regardless of size, to help our Cajun family in need. We love you, and we wish the best of health and spirit in this tough time.
