Hello,
My name is Ngonidzashe Kombora, a young man aged 23. I am a student.
On the 6th of October, I woke up to study and realized I couldn't see, my vision was blurred. I tried rubbing my eyes but still, I couldn't see.
I told my parents and later visited an Optometrist who referred us to an eye surgeon. The surgeon told me I had what is called retina detachment, which needed urgent surgery. We visited two other surgeons, who confirmed the diagnosis. Unfortunately, my left eye has a Lazy Eye, I squint to try and focus on objects. As it is I can barely read.
Unfortunately, the surgeon who could do the surgery was out of the country. I eventually saw him a week later. He explained the procedure, I needed 2 surgeries, first to reattach the eye with silicone oil, then after 3 months, a follow-up surgery to remove the silicone oil.
We received a quotation for USD $4350, and we managed to raise and pay USD $2050, for the first surgery. The estimate for the second surgery is another USD $4350. The costs exclude all after-surgery medication Doctor visits.
I appeal to everyone to please donate toward these two surgeries.
The amount I need right now is USD $6850
Thank you very much.
