Copperfield Ballet Folklorico
Donation protected
Copperfield Elementary is a Title One school ( Title I provides federal funding to schools that have low poverty levels.) located in North East Austin. Our student population is largely Hispanic and many of these children are first generation Americans and will be the first to graduate from high school. In order to both motivate our students to continue to do well academically and to share this beautiful cultural diversity with the entire school body and community we started a Ballet Folklorico dance class. Through dance and music the children will learn more about the Hispanic culture. We have coaches from the Round Rock Ballet Folklorico who are instructing the students. As we all know having a dance program can get very costly when you consider cost of classes, outfits, shoes etc. Many parents would love their children to participate, but have very limited funds. We are asking for your help. Please consider donating funds to allow these children to participate in the art of dance. For a moment allow them to get involved in the beats of the song where they are not viewed as low income or poor. We would greatly appreciate your help.
