Support Shannon's Fight Against Breast Cancer

On June 12th my family’s world was turned upside down when we had learned that my youngest sister Shannon (age 34) was diagnosed with

Metastatic Breast Cancer to Liver (Stage 4).

Shannon went on to the ER with neck/shoulder pain that migrated to her abdominal area. We were under the impression that she might have appendicitis. Cancer was never on our radar and a word we never anticipated to hear from the doctor.

We are beyond devastated by this news, especially since Shannon and her fiancé Terry just welcomed their first child into the world in February; Sunny Elizabeth Mayo. This was supposed to be a time when we loved and supported them as a young, growing family. We are all now shocked to learn Shannon will be fighting a battle to beat this disease.

Over the next several months, Shannon will undergo an intensive course of treatment including chemotherapy and other aggressive procedures.

We are so grateful for the support everyone has shown us thus far. Shannon is so lucky to have a community of friends & family who love support during this most difficult time.
