Bring Hazel Home
Donation protected
On March 17, 2024, St. Francis Veterinary Specialists and Emergency in Atlanta, GA decided to take a small, sickly, 10-year-old dog named Hazel out of their offices, into the cold, without her leash or even her collar. All she had on her body was a hospital collar and a catheter in her leg.
No one knows how or why this astonishingly careless decision was made, but the result was that Hazel escaped and has been missing ever since. Even worse, this happened while Hazel's owner Hannah was out of the country, and she wasn't notified until hours after Hazel had escaped.
This GoFundMe has been created to raise $10,000 for ad space to spread the word and bring Hazel home. Any unused funds will be donated to a local animal rescue. We have evidence that Hazel may have been picked up by someone in the area where she escaped, or she may still be out there.
I've known Hannah since I was about 2 years old and she was about 4. She is truly one of the most compassionate, caring, courageous, loving, and deeply good people I've ever met.
I've spent time with Hannah and Hazel and seen the bond that exists between them. When people talk about pets being like children, they're talking about relationships like Hannah and Hazel's. There are no words to describe how distraught Hannah is. We need to bring Hazel home.
We're asking you to help us do this. Gifts of any size will help bring a small, scared, and sickly dog back to her desperate, heartbroken owner. Please give what you can and spread the word. Thank you.
