Michael's future
Donation protected
My son Michael is autistic and though he is making strides, his future is uncertain. My wife and I got a late start on "adulting," as we both came from broken families and fended for ourselves from a young age. We have now turned a corner and have repaired our credit, reset our priorities and haven't missed a bill in over three years. So, we badly want to stop throwing away $18,000 a year on rent. Also we live in an apartment without a yard, so we want to buy a house with a couple acres for Michael to enjoy. We know it's a lot to ask but we believe Michael deserves security and we are asking for your help to get there before we are old and gray. With the extra money we can start looking at properties sooner and have a chance at paying it off before we are a hundred. Thank you so much.
My wife is a teacher and I have traded my career to be Michael's full time one on one person. It makes money tight but he really needs me. The cost for a professional to take care of him is way too expensive to pay them full time.
