We love Stacy

Hi, we're a few loving friends of Stacy organizing a fundraiser to help offset some expenses related to her ongoing medical emergency. Please pass this on to others who know and love Stacy!

Stacy was hospitalized at UNC on 2/10 with a life-threatening blood infection (sepsis). The infection is affecting her lungs, heart, and spine. Some cardiac issues and clots from the infection complicate the management of this infection. To manage the infection, she is on an aggressive antibiotic treatment. She will also need to undergo several surgical procedures in the next few days to control the worst pockets of infection in and around her spine.

Stacy is stable now, but suffering a lot of pain and discomfort as treatment goes on. The next few days will still be intense before she transitions into a recovery phase. She will likely need to stay in the hospital (longer than she wants...) and then continue recovery at home.

Stacy is very grateful for all the offers to visit and all the prayers. We know the road to full recovery will be long, with many bumps down the road. Many have asked how they can help.
