For the past three years my father has faced numerous illnesses. It started with getting pneumonia — fives times, to being diagnosed with leukemia, to contracting a rare lung infection called Nocardia, and finally suffering from COVID-19 twice.
During these last few years he never once complained or even gave the slightest impression he was sick. He kept his humor and attitude up each and every day no matter where he was. At his doctor appointments he’d joke with the staff saying that the only real problem he had were all with money since he couldn’t work. And as with most jokes, there’s some truth in that because, well, this GoFundMe is being made.
Our online community has supported us in the past and today, our family asks for your support one last time as we make arrangements to lay our father to rest. We appreciate any donations, whether it’s monetary or well wishes.
