4x4x48 Challenge supporting the Jones Adoption

Hey there! My name is Austin Lynch. I’m a 27-year-old advertising specialist living in Spring Hill, TN with my beautiful wife and our 2 precious dogs Marley and Goose.



On Friday, March 5th at 10pm CST I will embark on one of the most difficult challenges I have ever attempted in my life. Inspired by author and Navy SEAL David Goggins, the 4x4x48 challenge will stretch me physically, mentally, and spiritually.


The 4x4x48 challenge requires runners to run 4 miles, at the top of every 4th hour for 48 hours straight. That’s right. 48 miles in 48 hours, with minimal sleep or rest.


By this point you’re probably wondering, “Why would anyone consider such a ridiculous challenge?” To help answer that question for you, let me first introduce you to some of my family….



In 2017, my sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Cory Jones began their Haitian adoption journey. They, along with my awesome 7-year-old nephew Cooper, are so excited to grow their family and bring home their Haitian son or daughter. When considering their journey to-date, it is important to realize that a typical Haitian adoption should take approximately 2-3 years…. but as you know nothing has been exactly ‘typical’ lately. Since 2017, Haiti has endured a number of tragic events. Natural disasters, political unrest, and even borderline civil war have made it an incredibly long and difficult process.


This is why I decided to tackle the 4x4x48 challenge. Adopting from Haiti is an expensive process, especially when it is dragged out over the course of 4+ years. Part of Goggins’ challenge includes a fundraising aspect, where you raise money for a cause that means a lot to you. This is where you come in!


I desperately need your help. My goal is to raise $5,000 to help support my family’s adoption efforts. All money raised will go DIRECTLY towards the Jones family’s adoption-related expenses such as: medical support for the child (including therapy), administrative costs, travel costs, court fees and more.

$1,000 – The Real MVP (limited quantity)
You are the real deal if you're donating $1,000. As part of The Real Deal tier, you will:

   -  Enjoy a FaceTime from me as I get a lightning bolt hair design shaved into the side of my head prior to the challenge. This is about as ridiculous as I’m willing to go.
