All who know Kristian knows that she is an incredible person. She exhibits both strength and tenderness all at the same time. She is calm, caring, incredibly smart, and projects a warmth that immediately draws people in.
Kristian is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a SURVIVOR.
On Wednesday March 4th, 2020 Kristian, at 13 weeks pregnant, suffered a massive stroke and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. The medical team was able to remove the majority of the blood clot from her brain, but she has suffered extensive neurological damage.
Kristian's injuries sustained from her stroke include paralysis on the right side of her body, and difficulty speaking. She is in the process of re-learning how to read and talk.
She has met many great milestones, but her journey to healing is far from over. Kristian has partial paralysis on the right side of her body. She has learned how to walk unassisted, and currently has no use of her right arm.
In order to ensure proper care for their family, her husband Chris had to leave his full-time job, and now serves as the primary caregiver for his wife and 3 children.
Still, through all of this, Kristian and Chris have remained resilient and faithful.
Your donations will help ensure Kristian can continue to receive the therapies she needs in order to recover.
Your support means everything to us, and has helped in so many countless ways.
Please help continue to support Kristian and her family!
Milestones:
Early on, the stroke caused swelling in her brain, which required a partial removal of the skull that has since been replaced.
In July, she was released to walk without assistance
Kristian was able to successfully deliver their son in September. He is healthy, beautiful, and thriving!
