Anyone who knows Brad knows that his personality is bigger than life. You probably also know that he is stubborn and has never faced a challenge in his life that he hasn't overcome...not even a brain tumor and blindness in one eye can slow this guy down! Unfortunately, Brad is facing the biggest battle of his life right now.
Brad is fighting complications from Covid. He has been in the hospital since October 17. He spent 2 days at the hospital in Monticello and has been at United since October 19. He spent 4 days in ICU then was in a regular unit and things were moving in the right direction. On the 28th, he began having more tightening in his chest and on the 30th he was moved back to the ICU. Yesterday, October 31, his right lung collapsed and a chest tube was placed. He was given morphine for the pain and something to prevent him from getting too anxious. At about 6:30am today (November 1) Brad was put on a ventilator. {{If you are reading to this point, pause and say a prayer.}}
Brad and Tiff have been together for 17 years. They have faced so many challenges in their life and have always remained faithful through each hurdle they've overcome. Tiff was able to spend 10 minutes with Brad on Saturday before they moved him back to ICU. Other than that, she has relied on his medical team to answer his phone, set up Facetimes, and play worship music so that Brad doesn't feel alone. What another powerful example of their love for each other and their faith in God.
Cousins of Brad have set up this Go Fund Me to help ease the financial stress that a situation like this brings. Brad has blessed Tiff with the opportunity to work from home on her photography business and spend more time with Grace, but that increases the financial burden while Brad is out of work. We can also assume there will be medical bills, more missed work for Brad, missed photo shoots for Tiff, etc. after Brad recovers. Any little bit will eliminate a tiny sliver of their burden.
In typical Tiff fashion, when we asked if we could do this for them, she agreed, but made sure we make it known that they give all the glory to God, even in these very dark moments. They acknowledge that the outpouring of love and support is the physical hands and feet of the Lord and glorify His name in each of those blessings.
- Our first ask is that your pray. Pray for strength and healing for Brad. Pray for the hands and hearts of those caring for him. Pray for Tiff as she navigates this hurdle while caring for herself and Grace. Pray for Grace as she is missing her Daddy and wondering when he will come home. Pray for Brad's family as they worry for their son and brother.
- If you feel moved to give, know that your donation will be a blessing to Brad, Tiff, and Grace.
Thank you for your support, in any capacity.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
