Q: Why do we need your money?
A: COVID
(really, that says it all - but to be more specific: Mother Fool's has been running as a neighborhood art and community stronghold, not to mention providing needed coffee and yummy treats, since 1995. But the COVID makes it impossible to continue in the ways we wish. We're retooled as a general store open 5 part-days each week for pickup and delivery. And that won't pay all the bills so we're looking for some subsidy until we can build back a self-sustaining business model. Can you help?)
We'll use the money to:
Pay our mortgage (we only owe $17K before it's paid off and gives us much easier cash flow)
Pay our utility bills
Pay our staff (we've shifted to a base wage of $15/hour plus tips in order to be sure staff can live on their pay and not rely on tips)
We look forward to coming out the other side of this and throwing a nice big party! Then serving you for another 25 years, at least.
