Alexis Ruiz Medical and Family Assistance Fund

On September 11th, one day shy of Alexis’ birthday, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her current treatment plan will be 6 months of chemotherapy followed by a double mastectomy. As many know, it has been about 2 1/2 years that Alexis lost her beloved husband, Jorge, to cancer. At this time, Alexis and her 3 children will once again begin to navigate this journey together.

Alexis is a very strong-willed, faith-filled warrior and she has committed to fighting this diagnosis with all her might. While as a community we are truly shocked to learn of this news, we ask you to join us in helping Alexis both emotionally and financially. Alexis is the sole income provider for her family. Despite her positive outlook of wanting to be at work everyday during the treatment process, this fight against cancer may impact that goal. We want to assist her and allow her to engage in this fight without the added financial worries and burdens…especially on the days where she may not be feeling well.
