Eagle Scout Service Project

Who am I?

My name is Troy Bird from Scout Troop 713. I am a high school sophomore also in JROTC and I want to serve my country by joining the military.

What is my Eagle Scout Service Project?

My Eagle Project is a podium for the Airborne Special Operations Museum (ASOM) replacing one that was destroyed in a car accident.

Why is it important?

It is important to the museum and community as the podium is used for public and private events from the museum’s press conferences to the military’s various ceremonies.

What inspired me to choose this project?

Since I was little, I always enjoyed visiting the ASOM museum and I wanted to help them in any way I could. I chose this Eagle Project at the ASOM because I love history.
