555 Challenge - Victoria’s Fight Against Cancer

My name is Elizabeth and I’m setting up this fundraiser for my dear friend Victoria.

The current situation with Victoria is now critical. The cancer has spread to her liver and has got hold of the tissue in her lungs which is causing her difficulty breathing. Victoria has had to have very difficult conversations regarding end of life care, hospice care and what the outlook is for her.

There are so many alternative and complimentary treatments which the NHS don’t provide . These treatments have enabled people with a terrible prognosis to live 10-25 years.

I have set myself the challenge of running 5km, 5 times a week for 5 weeks, with the aim of raising £5,000. The challenge is being brought forward as the funds are needed now. I will start the challenge Saturday 28th January and finish on Saturday 4th March, my ‘running’ week will be Saturday to Saturday . I will be logging my runs on my Instagram elizabeth_victoria__

This might not seem like a huge challenge to some but anyone who knows me, knows that I was a sprinter in the past and sprinters don’t do long distance, in-fact we hate it. I’ve got myself out twice a week recently for a 5km on a Saturday and a longer run on a Sunday but that is it. This is really going to be quite a challenge for me, especially fitting the runs in around work and the lack of sunlight in the mornings and evenings, so please get behind me and help me to hit target.

Victoria doesn’t have months to wait for the funds to come in, we need to act fast.

We need to buy Victoria a little more time with her children who need their Mummy. Let’s all rally together and help to buy her more time… time is the most precious gift, so let’s make it happen for her
