5 hour skip challenge for doitfordan
Donation protected
I am proposing a 5 hour skipping challenge for the #doitfordan campaign. I will skip for the duaration but take a 2 minute break every 30 minutes to refuel.
The 2 minute breaks will not be deducted from the 5 hour total.
My mission is to skip for 5 hours with the hope of raising €5000, €1000 for every hour I skip.
On a sidenote I have never skipped for longer than 20 minutes before so I have a massive task ahead of me! However its nothing compared to Dans task which is monumental but with your help we can get him the treatment he requires (see below for Dans full story).
I am going to use every ounce of strength inside me to complete this challenge, rain, hail or shine so that Dan can get his treatment.
Dan is the son of Niall and Aisling, he was diagnosed with SMA type 1 in December. The life expectancy of an infant with this diagnosis is 18-24 months. Dan just turned 1 in March. However there is a treatment called Zolgensma available in the US at a cost of 2.1 million dollars. Time is very much of the essence so I would really appreciate all your support.
Thanks in advance,
Eric
