5 Stars for Debby - Beat Cancer Fund!

Debby Baughman, a beloved employee at 5 Star Equine products, is battling breast cancer. 5 Star has started a GoFundMe to help with the many medical and travel experiences that she is left with.

Debby is in charge of the mohair department at 5 Star Equine Products. She started working at 5 Star on January 14th of 2005 originally sewing and lacing 5 Star saddle pads. When the cinch department was added, Debby worked in both the cinch and saddle pad departments. In November of 2012, 5 Star was purchased by Terry and Julia Moore. At that time, Debby was moved into the cinch department full time and has been a large part of the growth of 5 Star's mohair cinches, breast collars and halters!

Debby's work ethic is unparalleled. She has always been one of the first to arrive before the sun comes up and one of the last to leave. She does what it takes to get the orders out to our customers in a timely manner with the quality that 5 Star customers have come to expect.

When asked what Debby loves about working for 5 Star, she stated that she loves being creative and coming up with new ideas. She loves seeing her finished work and really enjoys seeing professional rodeo athletes running in products that she has made by hand with loving care and attention to detail. Seeing her work in national magazines and on television makes her proud to be a small part of helping equine athletes and their riders. Debby's most memorable cinch was one that she made for President George W. Bush!

When Debby isn't making mohair products, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding side by sides and motorcycles, and camping! Her children, grandchildren, and all of the love and support that she has received from friends has motivated her to remain positive. She knows that she isn't fighting alone! She has a loving and caring community right by her side every step of the way.

Debby has plans for retirement in April of 2022 after a rewarding career at 5 Star of over 17 years. Her future plans are to spend as much time as possible with her mother and grandchildren as she can. 5 Star certainly hopes that she will visit from time to time as she will truly be missed.
