5 year old Leon and Family
Donation protected
Update: Leon is feeling better and although he will need a few months to get back to 100% the doctors feel like he is making so much progress he may be safe to leave Seattle Children's Hospital and head home soon under the supervision of a team of specialists for the next few months.
From the Family: I wanted to thank everyone for their support and kindness these last few days. Your donations, meals, and words have been so supportive and meant so much to our family. We can feel the love from all over the country and from friends, neighbors, and family.
I ask that you continue to keep Leon in your hearts as the next few months continue. This is turning out to be a long process to get answers, and in the meantime Leon is going to require outside medical support to stay healthy. We don't know what the future holds, but we are staying hopeful the worst is behind us.

Update: Leon's liver function levels have gotten slightly better he is out of liver failure but still has a long road to recovery. Doctors are estimating weeks in the hospital at this point. Any love, prayers, good thoughts or donations are greatly appreciated in this tough time for the family as they navigate having a child in the hospital. Thank you for your kindness!

Help 5-year-old Leon and his family while they go through the horrific process of rapid liver failure.
Leon was taken to the emergency room on Tuesday, October 25th and now 3 days later is in liver failure. He has been transferred from the Vancouver area to Seattle in hopes that the doctors can figure out his rapidly advancing complex case.
Help support him and his family with medical bills, hotel costs, and quite frankly rent.
On top of this traumatic event, his father does not have paid time off and they are a paycheck-to-paycheck family. Anything you can donate would greatly help this family take care of their little one and two older kids and keep a roof over their heads while they tend to their family.
A little more about the family, Heather and Ryan met in High School got married soon after, and have 3 children. One 12-year-old Damon, a 6-year-old Jackie, and their youngest Leon. Their oldest is like any other child and likes to play video games with his father. Their younger two children are inseparable! This time has been very hard on Leon and Jackie as they have not been able to see each other. The family is attempting to reunite the children and get accommodations together in Seattle so everyone can be with Leon at this time.
Again, anything you can share good thoughts, love, prayers, or donations is extremely helpful. Thank you for your kindness!
