50 Plus Years Vegan Longevity
Ever fancied taking a stroll across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia? - OK, not actually a stroll, more of a run – some 155 miles in fact!
What better way to continue to dispel the myths that surround the ability of humans to survive long term on a vegan diet – and not just survive, but thrive
This challenge is what is facing Fiona next on her crusade to demonstrate that a vegan diet is not prohibitive to elite performance in endurance sport
Vegan since the age of 6 – over 50 years now – Fiona holds 4 Guinness World Records including being the fastest woman to run a marathon on each continent and the North Pole - a record still standing since 2013.
Given the recent and continuing bad press afforded by the mainstream media against the vegan diet, Fiona wants to show through her actions the impact of a long-term vegan diet by competing in events like this - and aiming for an age group win!
Fiona is the ONLY vegan athlete with this length of vegan longevity, sporting track records and Guinness world records in endurance sport who is STILL performing at elite level – regularly running over 100 miles a week as well as looking after hundreds of rescued animals
By sponsoring Fiona in this fundraiser you will be directly helping the 500 rescued animals at Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary
Some examples of what your donations will buy - £4 will buy a bale of hay, £10 a sack of feed £25 a bale of Heston size bedding straw, £50 a huge bale of haylage for the horses and cows :)
It costs around £1000 a day to run the sanctuary, and support is very much needed in order to continue to provide a forever home for the 500 residents
Please support Fiona and share this fundraiser on you pages
If you would like to help by supporting the sanctuary with a monthly donation (from just £1) please go to the website and check the How to Help menu www.towerhillstables.org
