5000 trees to Climate Zero
Donation protected
Climate Zero has officially teamed-up with Maderas Rainforest Conservancy (www.maderasrfc.org) to achieve the primary ambition of the bicycle journey, to plant 5000 trees and zero my 52-year carbon footprint before I reach Ushuaia, Argentina sometime in May 2024. Maderas Rainforest Conservancy is a non-profit organization in Costa Rica dedicated to protecting and reestablishing tropical rainforests.
To prepare a large section of their property for planting, the organization needs tires, a plow, and a few small engine parts for their tractor that cost $3400 US dollars. In addition, the cost associated with my room and board at their field station will be about $1600. With this GoFundMe, I hope to raise $5000 dollars to cover the costs of getting the 5000 trees in the ground.
Please consider adopting as many of the 5000 trees as you can, 1$ a tree to reach $5000 dollars and reestablish a forest that will remove harmful carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. With your donation of any size you will be part of a significant, proactive effort to change the trajectory of ongoing Climate Change for present and future generations of all living organisms.
