500km in 30 Days in Memory of Paddy Carr

Donation protected
Over the next 30 days we are going to put on our running shoes in memory of Paddy  'The Shoe' Carr. We aim to run/walk 500km and raise much needed funds for Mayo-Roscommon Hospice, a charity that is very close to our hearts. Sadly, on the 17th of February this year, Paddy lost his battle against cancer. We will be forever grateful for the support provided by Mayo-Roscommon Hospice to Paddy and all of our family throughout his illness, particularly in his final days.

‘Mayo Roscommon Hospice in association with HSE West provides a specialist palliative care service, free of charge, to patients and families living with life limiting illness in counties Mayo and Roscommon.  The service is available to patients in their homes and hospitals. Our mission is to care and support while meeting both the physical and emotional needs of patients and their loved ones.  This vital service enables patients to live life to the full in comfort and dignity by improving their quality of life through pain control and alleviating other distressing symptoms.  Patients are referred to Hospice by either their General Practitioner or their hospital consultant.

COVID-19 has impacted severely on fundraising. Mayo Roscommon Hospice remain fully committed to providing palliative care services in the community and looking after those who are most vulnerable, during COVID-19 and beyond. We are also committed to providing our frontline staff with Personal Protection Equipment to keep them and their patients safe'
