Have you ever had the opportunity to help out an individual or a family in need? Here’s an opportunity to help out over 28,000 times over the next year! In 2016, NJCO’s soup kitchen provided over 28,000 lunches, provided clothing and groceries, and distributed over 20,000 articles of clothing to the homeless and very low income individuals.
An anonymous donor recently informed us that he/she is willing to pledge up to $12,500.00 (based upon $50,000 in total donations) toward supporting our worthwhile mission in the city of Reading. We are asking for your help to obtain these much needed matching fund dollars.
New Journey Community Outreach has an ever growing number of guests who partake in a delicious and nutritious lunch, perhaps their only meal of the day. NJCO is very close to my heart because as a youngster in the early 80’s, my family and I had the need to utilize the food and clothing services provided by the Central Park United Methodist Church, known as “The Yellow Church”. When it was announced a few years ago that the church had to close their doors due to financial and volunteer challenges, NJCO formed and took over providing much needed services in the community.
I consider supporting New Journey Community Outreach and their mission a very worthwhile investment and I believe you will agree.
On behalf of the NJCO Board of Directors and the Fund Development Advisory Group,
