Two Moms with Teens Struggling

I have a wonderful landlord. She gave us a cat from her household when we moved in back in 2010.

My finances have been strained this year and now my rent is behind. Way behind!

Other bills are also accumulating.

My landlord was hospitalized and close to death earlier this year. Plus she has been having some other rental property problems and there are a few repairs to my unit that neither of us could afford to tackle.

The back porch gate has a rotten spot where the bottom hinge is supposed to be etc.

I hate that my troubles are putting stress on my landlord who has been gracious through the summer.

If you have ever had someone do you a favor, that ended up costing them more than they bargained for, that is kind of how I feel things have happened for my landlady who is herself a single mother.

Please help me make this right. If I have to move I don't want to go owing anything.
