Please help me pay for Christmas!

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tom.

Some months ago the shop chain I worked for went out of business and I found myself redundant. Since then I've had to make do with jobseekers allowance, which is only £70 a week. I still live at home (couldn't afford my own place even when I had a job!) and pay towards house keeping, cover my own bus fares, etc.

Basically, I'm left with very little money of my own and I have quite a lot of people to buy for this Christmas. I am of course looking for a new job, but just recently, for various stupid reasons, I was offered a job and had to turn it down. It was only part-time and I worked out that after expenses, I'd have been left with £200 from my first wage. Since then I've been semi-obsessed with that sum; it seems like such a small amount, I keep thinking it can't be that hard to raise a mere 200?

I've tried selling stuff on eBay and so on, but I'm not having much luck so far. So I've come here to appeal to your generosity. I'm not greedy and I'm not pretending to be dirt poor.

All I am asking is a donation of £1 (or $1.60 for those of you in the US). If I can just get 200 people to donate £1 to me it would make a huge difference and I'd have peace of mind knowing that Christmas was covered, job or no job.

Thank you in advance and thanks for reading!
